Whitney P. Bowe, board certified dermatologist in New York City, is known for her expertise in acne and cosmetic procedures. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Dr. Bowe practices
cosmetic and medical dermatology in Manhattan at Chelsea Skin & Laser. She is a physician scientist, actively engaged in clinical research and frequently called upon to give lectures to her peers and provide guidance to industry leaders.
Dr. Bowe has a truly unique philosophy when it comes to meeting the needs of her patients. She is able to combine her expertise in conventional medicine with her passion for a more holistic and natural approach to health and beauty. Dr. Bowe has been awarded research grant support by organizations including the American Dermatological Association, the Skin Cancer Foundation, the
American Acne and Rosacea Society, and the Doris Duke Foundation. She is a Medical Advisory Consultant for the
Rosacea Research & Development Institute and serves a member of the Young Physicians Council for the
Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic & Clinical Conference. Dr. Bowe is continually asked to provide her expert opinion on topics such as the relationship between diet and acne, natural ingredients, procedural treatments for acne, antibiotic resistance, and the psychosocial impact of skin disease.
Dr. Bowe is a strong advocate for patient and resident education. She devotes time as a voluntary attending, teaching residents and fellows of the Mount Sinai Dermatology Department and SUNY Downstate Medical Center during her cosmetic clinic sessions. During these sessions, she shares her knowledge of cosmetic procedures including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, dermal fillers and chemical peels. In addition, Dr. Bowe holds the rank of Clinical Instructor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
